24/7 Donation Bin Located in Front of Building

Items from our wishlist and bagged/boxed empty bottles + cans accepted in separate monitored bins.

Do you have used items that you want to donate?

We accept all items that are in relatively good condition that you have on hand. Dog/cat beds, toys, leashes, bowls, etc. Do you have opened food that your pet decided they did not like? We will take it as long as it’s properly sealed so it won’t spill. Medications are also accepted provided they are not expired and are in their original packaging – please contact us directly to arrange a drop-off for medications.

AARCS’ focus is cats and dogs. We cannot offer assistance with wildlife.

If you have a wildlife concern, please contact the Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society, the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation or WILDNorth (Northern Alberta Wildlife Rescue).

If you find an injured or stray animal, please take it to the nearest animal or emergency clinic.

We do not do public intake at Safe Haven.
