About Mambo

Meet Mambo!

Mambo is a gentle, sensitive soul who’s slowly learning that the world can be a kind and loving place. Though he arrived as a nervous boy, he’s been making great progress and showing glimpses of his goofy, sweet nature. He’s learned to approach for snacks, gently taking them from your hand, and enjoying all the pets.

Each day, his confidence grows a little more. He recently discovered the fun of the snuffle mat and loves using his nose to search for treats — it’s a wonderful way for him to engage in something he enjoys. Mambo also enjoys stuffed kongs! While he’s still learning what toys are all about, his curiosity is beginning to shine through.

Mambo is also practicing going for walks, and with patience and encouragement, he’s starting to understand that these new experiences can be positive.

Mambo is beginning to come out of his shell in his foster home. He will meet you with a happy prance, tail wags, and face licks. Mambo loves hanging out near his people, getting couch cuddles, or napping nearby on his dog bed. He sleeps his nights in his crate and can often be found taking a nap in his crate during the day. Mambo will go to the door when he needs to go outside. While still shy, he will approach new people for pets and has no issues with strangers coming into his home. He’s a very calm and quiet houseguest. He enjoys the company of the resident dogs and is good with cats.

Mambo is looking for a calm, understanding home that will give him the time and support he needs to continue building his confidence. His gentle heart and quiet affection are shining through. With love and consistency, Mambo has all the potential to become a loyal, trusting, and deeply devoted companion.

The sweetest, most gentle soul!
