About Callie
Callie will take ear pets and head rubs from anyone, and once she warms up to you she loves inside leg rubs and belly rubs! She gives kisses back as a thank you and is such a sweet girl. Callie can also be a goofball and makes her foster mom laugh multiple times a day. Callie walks great on a leash right by your side, but is interested in watching other dogs that walk by. We’ve been working on her reaction to other dogs on leash and she is a quick learner.
Callie knows her basic commands like Sit and Lay Down, and is especially good at shaking her paw. She has improved a lot with Stay, and she is such a smart dog. She wants to learn and appreciates the praise when she’s showing off her skills (& treats too of course). She is house trained, but is not a fan of a crate. She is not destructive. She’s content laying outside on her own, listening to the world go around, but is more than happy to have you join her! Callie loves to watch her foster mom cook and do chores and lays out of the way of a vacuum. Her favorite song is “Sweet Caroline” (our rendition replaces Caroline with Callie Girl) and she gets excited to see her people dance and sing.
Callie loves to stare out the window and she may let out a bark or two if another dog passes, but will easily follow your commands away from the window. Callie has been enjoying her car rides and likes to look out the window to start and then lay down in the backseat. She is a calm and well mannered girl. Callie will pounce on her toy soccer ball but is extra sweet to her animal stuffies – if one falls off her bed she will gently pull it back up to be with her.
Apply to have Callie be with you and your family. Callie cannot wait to meet you!
