About Holly

Hi Everyone Meet Holly!

Above all she loves to Play! She is in LOVE with her Pink Oinky Pig and her Green Gumby & wants to play fetch in the yard until dark. She is a VERY happy girl and full of life:)

Holly can still be timid at times but she faces her fear with courage and LOVES to explore and try new experiences. Whether it’s a car ride to a new park with fresh sights and sounds, a walk by the river or exploring the neighborhood, she’s always up for an adventure. When Holly first arrived she was nervous of the the leash, but now she loves her leash walks and waits by the door to go!

Holly is a smart, obedient girl, great on the leash, and knows Sit, Shake a Paw and Stay/Wait. She is respectful of our home, at mealtimes, and is fine with free reign of the house when left alone. Holly is in our opinion is the perfect size for a city dog. She always goes to the door when she needs out, and she loves to hang out in the yard and sit in the Sun.

She is timid when meeting new people, but once you gain her trust she is a tender, affectionate girl. She loves close contact, pets and gives the sweetest kisses and nuzzles.

Little Holly would love to be with someone who is encouraging and patient and likes to get out in the world. She is still nervous and shy when meeting new people, so slow, gentle introductions will work best. She can still be startled by loud sudden notices but is now oblivious to many of the loud household noises.

Holly is such a Rockstar and honestly an inspiration. Despite her level of timidness when she first arrived, with a little encouragement, she took giant leaps of faith everyday to overcome her fear. Holly has really come into her own and finally feels comfortable in her own skin. Its been amazing to see her transform into the beautiful, fun-loving girl she is.

Do I Need Special Care?

Behavioral Special Needs - Holly is working on feeling brave when meeting new people. She used to retreat but has positive experiences in her foster home and feels comfortable sitting close by observe and now warms up a little sooner. She still prefers to not be touched but has had huge improvements when she hears a loud noise. Would do best with a yard because she LOVES to be outside. Watching Holly improve with her shyness has been an amazing experience to watch her come into her own and feel more comfortable in her own skin.
