Moderately shy

Hi. My name is Claresholm! I am very timid to new places and especially people. I have only been in my current foster home for about a week and I haven’t had enough time to trust them yet so I run away when they try and give me attention but I do love to come out and play. 

My previous foster got to know me much better and she says: Claresholm is a calm and gentle soul who takes her time to build trust but once she does, she becomes a loving cuddler. She enjoys nothing more than sitting peacefully on your lap, soaking up the affection in a quiet and serene way. Claresholm thrives in a calm environment and is best suited for someone who will respect her space and not chase her. With a little patience, she’ll be your loyal and affectionate lap companion.

For my forever home, I need somewhere gentle and calm as sudden movements and noise are scary. I need a family who will continue to work with me using lots of treats (I do loooove treats) and games to show me humans aren’t scary. I would need another young cat, preferably a sibling (Coaldale, Stavely, Vauxhall, Stowe, Warner,  Enchant or Pearce).  Adult cats are scary but I’m getting better as I realise that they are not going to hurt me. Young kids would be too much for me because of their fast sudden movements and noise.
