Dumas is a curious, calm boy waiting for a patient and experienced home. Dumas has had a few adoptions that did not work out. It is possible that he needs more personal space than an apartment can provide, and he may be better suited to townhouses or houses. He is looking for a family who will respect his boundaries and who understand cat body language.

In his foster home, Dumas is very curious and sweet. Since the very first day, he has loved cuddling in bed at night. He often follows people around, and will sit on a chair beside his foster mom all day when she works from home. It took him a couple of weeks to warm up to sitting in our laps, but now we can hardly sit down on the couch without him leaping up and sprawling across our legs!

We believe Dumas will need time to adjust to a new home and should be given a lot of space. We are looking for someone with a lot of experience and confidence dealing with cats, as he may hiss and growl when agitated. He does not like being picked up. Sometimes he likes being petted and tickled but sometimes he does not, so it is important that his future family respects his boundaries.
