“We adopted Scooby (Previously known as Canon) in August of 2022 after only fostering him for a short period of time. I fell in love with him instantly, it’s like a bond I can’t even explain. We had no idea if he’d like our other dogs, or how he would be with our children but as soon as he came into our home, it’s like we found the final piece to our puzzle. This boy is special and I knew that from the minute I laid eyes on him.

We definitely weren’t looking to adopt another dog, we were just getting started on our fostering journey after I had already been volunteering at the AARCS shelter for nearly 6 months. Scooby was our first foster and let’s just say, the best decision we ever made. After only having him in our care for a short period of time, we knew he wasn’t leaving.

Scooby has adapted so well to being a tripawd! If you weren’t able to physically see he only has 3 legs, you’d never be able to tell. He’s had a rough start to his life but that has never slowed him down. He is the nicest boy ever. Scooby loves to play at the dog park, he loves going for walks to greet his little human siblings, and loves to say hello to everyone he sees. We call him little wiggle bum as his tail just never stops wagging!” – Annie, Scooby’s Mom
