About Pixie
First of all, I’m a very confident, friendly feline who absolutely loves people. None of that standoffish diva behaviour for me! When visitors come, I want to meet them right away, and that means I get a lot of pets and scratches. People who know me describe me as very gentle, affectionate and loving. I always like to be near people even though I do spend quite a bit of time just lounging around in my quiet foster home. One place I like to lounge is in a lap… quite often. I’m pretty laid back and mellow, so you won’t find me climbing the curtains or anything silly like that. Observing the world from my perch or enjoying a sunbath are so relaxing. I also enjoy being brushed to keep my fur soft and smooth.
I like to play with catnip toys. Well, actually, I like to hold them and enjoy their scent. I’m not really a big fan of always running around with toys a lot, but I like to chase a ball or wand worm sometimes. I’ve been known to indulge in zoomies, too. As for scratching, I love my cardboard scratching mat. Sometimes I even sleep on it. I never scratch anywhere else.
I’m very intelligent; clever enough to quickly figure out that the pantry was where the food and treats were kept. I know what the container for the treats sounds like, too, and that brings me running from wherever I am (great hearing!). I really love to eat and can be extra talkative when I’m trying to beg for some more eats. Unfortunately, I don’t get fed as much as I’d like, but I know it’s for my own good. Actually, I’m kind of a chatty gal most of the time and love to have conversations. At night, though, I snuggle in bed (with a person, of course) and don’t make a sound.
When my foster mom comes home after being away for an hour or two, I like to be at the door to greet her. I think she really likes my greetings!
There are no litterbox worries with me. I’m very careful and never make a mess. See? I said that I was pretty intelligent. I know that litter box etiquette is as important to my people as it is to me.
Right now, I’m sincerely hoping to find a forever home filled with kindness and compassion with people who will truly understand and appreciate my heart. My foster mom says I sincerely deserve that. Is that your home? Why not fill out an adoption application and come visit me in person? You can pet me as much as you want!
PS: With my ears, I think I kind of resemble a snow leopard except I am definitely a calico girl. Let me know what you think!
