Shane is a sweet, lovable, eager, Australian cattle dog who is even more adorable in person than he appears in the photos. He has a lovely soft coat, which you’ll feel often, as curling up next to you is one of his favourite things. Shane likes to think he’s the right size to sit on laps and he loves being a “weighted blanket” movie nights! He loves to follow the action on TV intently; he seems to genuinely get emotionally involved in the lives of the characters on the screen!

He is affectionate and cuddly with his people, but he’s no guard dog; he’s quiet when people are at the door and he wants to make friends with everyone. He even met some older kids and was very good with them. He also loves doing other puppy things: chewing on his toys (hard bones and soft squeakers alike) and chasing a ball in the backyard. One of his favourite things is running around outside in the yard with his ball and duck. He sleeps through the night and goes to the bathroom outside when taken out regularly.

Shane has started to learn some basic cues (sit, down, touch) and has fun with short training sessions. He is food motivated and will eat everything from tasty liver treats to blueberries.

Shane would love a family that is committed to building up his confidence, mastering his training, and teaching him the ropes. He’s ready for his home team, could that be with you?
