It’s been a few weeks since I was sprung from the shelter into Camp Furrypants for Homeless Pups! I have been very busy with my basic training – here is what I’ve been working on so far:

Tactical – outsmarting my foster mom, self-defense, close quarter combat (with my sister hehe);

Technical – sit, shake paw, leave it, house training, kennel training;

Physical – stairs, chasing without injury, navigating obstacles safely; Leadership/social responsibility development – walking nice, socializing with two leggers and not chewing/jumping on them, not barking at or chasing other 4-leggers without their permission and not regaling the neighbours with the songs of my ancestors. Camp Furrypants Assessment Notes: Recruit Chewbarka is doing well with his basic training. He is a good little soldier however given his breeds (Shepherd and Husky) he will do best in a family that is very active and will involve Chewie in those activities, and able to devote lots of time to Chewie’s ongoing training including a ‘job’ to keep his mind busy!
