About Maggie

Meet the wonderful Maggie!

Maggie is a truly special girl whose resilience, sweetness, and charm shine from the moment you meet her. Recently becoming a tripod (which is why she is sporting a onesie at the moment!), she has handled the transition with grace and determination, quickly proving that losing a leg hasn’t slowed her spirit one bit. She’s already doing wonderfully on her walks and is looking for a family who can help her continue learning the ropes—especially things like navigating stairs and building confidence in new environments.

This affectionate sweetheart loves to give kisses and absolutely adores cuddling up close. Once she warms up to new people—which doesn’t take long—she shows off her incredibly loving and gentle personality. Maggie is also incredibly smart; she already knows sit, down, and touch, and with her love of treats and eagerness to please, she’s sure to pick up many more skills in no time. Her new family will find training both fun and rewarding with her by their side.

While she can get excited and offer a jumping “hug,” she is a willing learner and would benefit from continued guidance on practicing four-on-the-floor (or should we say THREE-on-the-floor!). She’s a wonderfully chill companion overall, happy to relax with you, soak up affection, and enjoy life’s cozy moments.

But don’t let her laid-back side fool you—Maggie still loves to stay active and would thrive in a home that keeps her body and mind engaged. She’s ready for adventures, enrichment, and plenty of love.

A family will be incredibly lucky to welcome Maggie into their lives. She is pure sweetness, smart as can be, and full of heart—ready to bring joy, companionship, and endless cuddles to her forever home!
