About Pebbles

A heart as big as my paws! Well, hello! I’m Pebbles, and I bet you’re checking out my profile because of my unique markings. What you can’t really see in my photos is that I am not a dainty little kitty. I’m built for power, and the size of my paws is proof of that! They were made for hunting, which comes in handy when I’m stalking those wand toy critters.

I’m a very independent girl, and cat-savvy folks will know that means I prefer to choose the times I want to come for pets and scratches, as well as to snuggle in a lap to have a snooze. Now, it’s usually pretty quiet around here, but a while ago, a visitor came to our place. I couldn’t wait to run over and check her out. She was happy to see me and gave me some nice pets and kind words. She was definitely a cat person!

At night, I sometimes sleep at the end of my foster mom’s bed and sometimes in the guest room I’ve claimed for my own. I’m certainly not one of those cats who roams around making noise at night, though. I need my beauty rest. Actually, I don’t make noise very often, and my purr is ultra-quiet.

When I’m called for meals, however, I come a-running as fast as I can, meowing loudly. I need my fuel to keep me going during playtime because I can really jump and run when I play even though I’m pretty grown up. Sometimes I get a bit overexcited, so that’s a good time to get out the wand toys or the laser pointer so I can work off that energy. When I’m in the mood for zoomies, you can hear me galloping from one end of the house to the other. There’s none of that kitten nonsense like climbing the curtains, though! I’m also a particularly good girl when it comes to using my litter box. No rookie kitten accidents for me.

I spend quite a bit of time watching the world outside our windows. Those squirrels and magpies are fascinating. I also love to explore places that I don’t often get into around the house. Closets and drawers have a lot of interesting nooks and crannies, so I often follow my foster mom around to see if I can sneak into those places.

The pantry is a place dear to my heart, and I can hear that door opening from anywhere in the house. I always hope that some food might be coming my way, but if it doesn’t, I throw out some subtle hints to let my foster mom know that I’d sure like some of those treats I enjoy so much. I can’t decide if she really doesn’t get my hints or if she’s ignoring them, but she keeps me on a pretty regular feeding schedule. I do have a treat ball that I love to roll around to get my treats to come out, but I only get that once a day.

I’m quite a confident girl, and I would do best in a home with an experienced cat owner who can understand my behaviour and communication well. Does that describe you, and could your home use a dose of cattitude? Apply today and come meet me! xo Pebbles
