Basil is a young, energetic dog with a heart full of joy and a body full of energy! This goofy and funny pup loves to explore. His leash work is getting better, but the outdoors is so exciting he sometimes gets carried away so he’s still a work in progress.

He has learned sit, wait and is working on leave it; he’s housetrained and he sleeps quietly in his crate at night. He loves playing in the backyard with the resident dog in his foster home. They can go for hours if you let them!  He loves his walks, and a hike is even better because the sniffs out there are irresistible!  He’s always up for a brain game too. After playtime Basil is more than happy to snuggle up beside you on the couch for a nap.
