Beautiful Maui is endearingly slightly on the timid side when meeting new dogs and people for the first time. Her self confidence and adventurous nature continues to strengthen with every outing and every new experience. If something a little too fearful for her happens, then she will seek protection between your legs or snuggle up to you for a comforting hug.

Maui eagerly jumps in and out of the vehicle, is intelligent, a perfect size, and is always attentive to pleasing you. She is sensitive to light pressure while on the leash and therefore she is a dream to walk.

At home, Maui is very low maintenance. She gets along very well with the resident dog, is happy just playing with her chew toys and napping and has never damaged anything or gotten into trouble when left at home uncrated. 

She very rarely barks unless of course there is a justifiable reason to do so, is 100% house trained and sleeps quietly and contently throughout the night on her bed.

Maui has also received visits from and demonstrated a fondness for children 6-10 years old and she has not shown any tendency towards aggression or impatience with them. 

Maui has only one issue that she is working on to overcome, and that is that she gets a bit of motion sickness when going on car trips. Everyday we are making progressively longer trips and she is adjusting well as she becomes more accustomed to the new visually disorienting stimulation.

Clearly Maui’s sweetheart disposition is of one that prioritizes loyalty and a strong desire to please her humans above all else. 

Therefore, I believe that she will quickly adapt and completely devote herself to any sort of environment and family who are lucky enough to have the chance to include her as one of their own.
