Blackie is the kind of pup who once you have earned his trust, he is an absolute pleasure to have around. He is 100% house trained and will whine softly to tell you he needs to go out. He enjoys being outside playing and running with his litter mate or trying hard to earn the respect and attention from the foster family’s senior dog. Blackie would love to have an adult dog to share a back yard with, ideally one who still has the energy to play chase or relax with on the deck.

Blackie has not been to a lake but there is a good chance he would enjoy the water because when he sees the hose is going to be turned on, he heads in that direction, splashing his front paws in the water on the grass. On one occasion, he took the hose and turned the nozzle on by himself with both him and his litter mate having a great time splashing in the water until a human shut off the tap and ruined the fun. Blackie also has a serious side like when he stood perfectly still and watched a bee buzzing around or those times when he does dog duty and chases the magpies out of the garden.

Blackie likes to relax on the dog bed for about an hour before bedtime. Once he is in his crate, he is rewarded with a treat and without any protest he sleeps 7 hours.

Blackie, the very handsome pup, will run to the gate and bark to let us know when you arrive to meet him.
