About Vanquish
Greetings, my name is Vanquish and I’m fun!
My name is Vanquish. I’ve been staying with my Foster Mum while undergoing a very important medical procedure known as “losing my little bits.” I do miss them a little… but apparently this now makes me officially ready to join a forever home. Small sacrifices must be made for greatness.
I am a very well-behaved 2-year-old gentleman. So far I have avoided most mischief. The only misunderstanding occurred when I believed the rubber kitchen mat was clearly placed there as my personal scratching station. There was some damage. We’ve since discussed it, and I believe I understand the assignment now.
One of my important daily responsibilities is following my foster mum everywhere. This is not clinginess — this is quality supervision. My duties include monitoring her activities and confirming whether she might be heading somewhere important… like the place where the treats live.
Sometimes I weave between her legs while she walks to make sure she remembers I am present. She occasionally says this is a “tripping hazard,” but she seems young and capable enough to handle the challenge.
When it comes to breakfast, I am extremely dedicated. I will politely, but persistently, remind my foster mum that food time has arrived. I do not give up easily. I’m proud to say my training of her is progressing beautifully. She has trained me well too, if she calls me, I come running!
I absolutely love cuddles, snuggles, and scratches. Make eye contact with me and I am there! I should mention that I am currently shedding quite enthusiastically. My fine hairs have been discovered on the bed, couch, plants, my foster mum’s clothing, and occasionally her face. She brushes me often — sometimes in the bathtub to contain the floating fluff cloud. This could be seasonal shedding or most likely stress from my big life changes. Time will tell.
Recently I’ve begun enjoying toys. Simple ones are great! I’m still learning that certain “toys,” like necklaces hanging on the wall, are apparently not toys. I am working on this important distinction.
I also make the cutest little chirps and sounds, which my foster mum likes to answer. We have developed some very deep conversations. I believe she understands most of what I’m saying.
If you are looking for a handsome, affectionate, slightly fluffy supervisor who will keep you company, remind you about meals, and hold meaningful daily conversations with you… I might just be your guy.
Sincerely, Vanquish
