Forty is a truly special guy with a heart as big as his personality!

This sweet, gentle soul has quickly proven himself to be not only a “very good boy”, but also a loving and attentive companion who thrives on connection with his people. He greets the world with a soft, wiggly enthusiasm and a relaxed, friendly demeanor that makes it easy to fall in love with him. Curious by nature, Forty loves to explore and take in the world through his nose. Walks with him are less about rushing from point A to B and more about enjoying the journey—sniffing, discovering, and happily checking in with his person along the way. He’s incredibly polite, especially when treats are involved, and already shows great manners like offering a lovely “sit” and taking goodies gently. He’s a smart boy who enjoys learning and is building his confidence more each day.

At home, Forty shines just as brightly. After a day of exploring or learning, he transforms into a total cuddle bug who loves nothing more than relaxing close to his favourite humans. He’s affectionate, calm, and happiest when he can simply be near you, soaking up all the love and comfort. Forty also has a playful, clever side—he’s quite the little “magician” and has been known to figure out doors and other escape routes when curiosity strikes! Because of this, he will need a secure home environment and a safely enclosed yard to ensure he stays safe while satisfying his adventurous spirit. He gets along well with other larger dogs and continues to learn about the world around him at his own pace. Like many dogs, he has a few things he’s still building confidence with, but his willingness to learn and his trusting nature make him a wonderful companion for someone ready to support him along the way.
