About Seamus
This sweet pup has so much heart, and once he feels comfortable, his affectionate, eager-to-please personality shines brightly. Seamus loves to be active and absolutely adores toys—throwing them around, chewing, and entertaining himself with playful enthusiasm. Out on walks, he is a true pleasure. Once his harness is on, he’s excited to get moving, and he walks beautifully on leash. He rarely pulls, except when he spots a rabbit or gopher—then his curiosity kicks in, but he’s easily redirected with a gentle noise or a tasty treat.
He enjoys being praised during his walks, happily checking in with his handler and proudly strutting along when told he’s a good boy. New environments can still be overwhelming for him at times, especially with city noises. Loud vehicles, particularly semis, may startle him, but he recovers well and continues on with encouragement. He also has moments of “stranger danger” when meeting new people, so slow, positive introductions will help him feel safe. Despite these uncertainties, he remains gentle and willing, showing how much he wants to trust and connect.
Seamus is a dog who thrives with kindness, patience, and a steady routine. He’s still getting used to things like harnessing and certain types of handling, so a home willing to give him time—and lots of treats—will help him blossom. He is incredibly responsive to training, especially when food is involved, and has already shown how quickly he can pick up skills like checking in during walks. With consistent training and supportive guidance, he will continue to grow into an even more confident companion. Seamus loves cuddle time and soaks up affection with a soft, grateful heart. He is gentle, sweet, and deeply endearing—a dog who just wants to bond with his people and feel secure.
For someone looking for a loyal, gentle, active companion who is eager to learn and full of love, Seamus would be a truly wonderful addition. Whoever brings him home will be incredibly lucky to have him!
