Looking for a best friend who’s equal parts adventure buddy and professional snuggler? Meet Bruno!
Bruno is a lovable 1-year-old pup with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. He’s an affectionate, happy dog who thrives on belly rubs, playtime, and being with his people.
Bruno is well on his way to being a fantastic family companion. He’s house-trained, somewhat crate-trained, and already knows a long list of cues including sit, come, stay, lay down, “on your bed,” and “in your house.” Like many young dogs, he can get a little jumpy when he’s excited, but he’s learning and improving every day with cues like “down”, “no”, and “leave it.” As a true gentleman, he will wait for your “”ok”” before he dives into his meals.
He’s gentle with his mouth and generally respectful of his humans’ belongings. He is working on being a free-roamer when his foster humans are away. On walks, he fluctuates between walking nicely, roaming in all directions, and trying to greet anything that moves—his biggest challenge is simply that he’s such a friendly guy and would love to meet every person and dog he encounters. He enjoys being outside and going on car rides.
After a good walk, Bruno is happy entertaining himself with toys, puzzle games, or a round of chase and wrestling with his foster dog brother. He is pretty good at respecting his foster brother’s cues to chill out. Bruno recently met another high energy dog and they played really well together. He thrives at the private off-leash parks where he can run freely. When the day winds down, Bruno is an excellent snuggle buddy and will happily curl up on the couch with his people or relax nearby on the floor. At night, he prefers to be where the people are, but he would likely be receptive to training to sleep on a big dog bed near his people.
Bruno’s ideal family will enjoy including their dog in everyday life and adventures. He would make a wonderful hiking, camping, or outdoor companion. If there’s already a resident dog in the home, they should be just as enthusiastic about play as Bruno is. When crated, Bruno will cry and bark for 10-30 minutes, so he’ll do best in a detached home without shared walls.
Bruno hasn’t met you yet—but he already loves you.
