About Taco

Meet Taco, a sweet and resilient girl who is looking for a very special forever home—one filled with patience, love, and a commitment to helping her thrive!

Taco is currently healing from a recent FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery, and she’ll need ongoing physiotherapy to support her recovery. Her new family will need to be dedicated to continuing her healing journey, both physically and emotionally.

Taco is still getting used to the idea of walking on leash, and while she’s not quite comfortable with it yet, she shows plenty of potential with the right support. A quiet, secure home with a fully fenced yard would be ideal, giving her space to feel safe while she builds trust and confidence. Despite her nerves, Taco is full of gentle affection and playful curiosity. She greeted her caregivers with a high, wagging tail, and while her body language showed some uncertainty at first, she warmed up beautifully—approaching with a wagging tail and soft eyes once she felt safe.

Taco absolutely loves toys, especially puzzle games. She lights up with joy while pulling treats out of a snuffle mat, her bum wiggling in the air with excitement! She even shows off her smarts by figuring out puzzle toys on her own! Taco may be shy at first and hesitant to leave her comfort zone, but once she opens up, her loving and playful personality shines. She’ll thrive with a family who understands that building trust takes time and is willing to support her with gentle guidance, positive reinforcement, and lots of toy-filled enrichment.

With your care, Taco will continue to grow into the confident, joyful companion she’s meant to be. She’s a truly special girl with so much love to give!
