Hello! My name is Henna, a big hearted girl who’s looking for her best friend!

“Henna is one of the most beautiful, funny and loving dogs we have had the pleasure of fostering. When she’s not wanting to play with you or chew on her toys, she is comfortable curling up right in your lap.
Henna’s size does not inhibit her from being a puppy at heart – and she’s sure to show it to anyone who will pay attention. Not only does Henna love playing with other dogs, she is very cautious with our resident cat.

Though Henna could thrive learning along side other dogs, she would love being with her humans just as much. When we go on our daily walks, everyone is sure to stop to give her pets and belly rubs (literally, she is too cute to bypass).

As Henna was surrendered at 7 months old from her previous owner, she is still learning the ropes on how to be a teenager with some manners.

Over the past month, she has been spayed and nailed down some basics. She is able to sit and laydown on cues; she has good name recall, she will lay inside her crate without fear and actually walks very well in her front leading harness!

Some things we are working on would be manners, house training and mouthiness. When excited, Henna will jump up to say hi! She’s also getting bigger, which also means taller. This girl can reach anything on the countertops (we are working on “down” with positive reinforcement).

We are almost finished with the housetraining, but when there is an accident at nighttime – Henna makes sure she uses a puppy pad. She just needs to be brought outside frequently throughout the day until she gets the hang of it!

The mouthiness is a work in progress – she definitely likes to have her mouth open and give love bites during play without knowing her own strength.

All together Henna is a happy and healthy girl who craves her humans love and affection!
