Hello!! My name is Kona! I’m the sweetest and happiest, playful dog who loves people! I can’t get enough tummy rubs and pets, so if you’re ready and willing, I’ll gladly accept all the love you’ve got to give. Seriously, I’ll even give you the sweetest looks and a paw on the leg to let you know how much I’m enjoying it!

I’m very attentive and love being part of the action, so I’ll always be near you, ready for some affection or just to hang out. I know my name really well, so when you call me, I’ll come right over to say hello; I’m pretty good at responding to it!

Toys? Oh yes, please! I’m always up for a game, and I love to play—whether it’s fetching, chewing, or just rolling around with my favourite squeaky toy, you can count on me to keep you entertained. But when it’s time to settle down, one of my favourite spots is my crate. It’s my cozy little sanctuary where I sleep soundly all night, safe and comfy.

I’m loyal and gentle, and while I haven’t had a lot of exposure to young kids, I’m a calm and sweet pup at heart.

I’m house-trained, too! You can leave me at home and I’ll be patient until you come back—plus, I’ll greet you with a happy tail, wagging away, when you return. I just love seeing you again! I love to sneak up on my foster family because I am so quiet in the house. I almost never bark and I walk with such gentle feet.

Squirrels? Oh, I love to chase them! They’re so fast and sneaky, but I’m quick on my paws and always ready to give chase. (I haven’t caught one yet, but a dog can dream, right?). Now, walking on a leash is still a work in progress for me. I get a little nervous when there are loud noises or other big distractions, but with you by my side, I’m becoming more confident every day. Together, we can take on the world one step at a time.
