Meet Venus, the happiest most joyful and curious little girl!

“I’m 4.5 months old and I’m almost a big girl now!” 💕

Venus spent most of her short life in shelter so everything is brand new to her. After a month foster care she is now ready for a fun and energetic person or family. She would do well with older kids because she likes to up jump for attention. She loves to cuddle and is affectionate with a happy heart.

A perfect day for Venus includes a long walk along the river and playing with other dogs if she meets one that is up for it. She loves being with her human or playing independently on her own. Venus would love a fenced back yard where she can explore, eat sticks and see what birds and squirrels are all about. She would do well with a doggy friend who matches her energy or can show her how to ‘dog’.

She is crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night. If you are going out or when she needs a time out she responds to softly coaxing her into the crate with a treat. When you leave she cries for 5 minutes and then is fine.

Venus knows how to sit, shake both paws and lay down. She is sweet and ready to play at any turn. Her adult teeth are coming in so she is still a bit mouthy but very easy to distract with a toy or a chew treat. We are working on not jumping when people walk by because she loves all the attention she can get.

She still has a few issues with potty training because she is in a condo and making a quick connection to the outside is harder. She mostly goes on the puppy pads followed by a visit outside. We are certain she will be perfectly house trained soon!

Venus is a social butterfly coming out of her cocoon very nicely. She’s polite when meeting other dogs and people are just as interesting to her too!
