Meet Balmoral – an independent kitty who knows what she likes.  She enjoys pets and brushings and loves quiet spaces for naps and relaxing.

Balmoral has had a long journey trying to find her place in the world.  Due to all the change, she takes her time to trust new humans and get comfortable in a new home.  It has been wonderful to watch her get more confident with every week and to seek out her foster mom and start to demand pets. She even meows quietly to me sometimes. 

She’s becoming more affectionate over time and I truly think she will be an excellent and loving companion to the right person(s).  While she likely won’t be your typical lap cat and likes to remain with her paws firmly on the ground, she shows her loving nature by rubbing against your legs, leaning right in for more pets, and rolling onto her back with purrs.  

During the day, she’s a bit nonchalant about her toys but she loves them at night!  While they are neatly in a pile in the evening, they are all over the room by morning.  As they say, cats are creatures of the night! Often she will nap in quiet places away from the action and she will leave a room or hide if she does not want to interact. She’s always pleasant and well behaved. 

Balmoral would be best with an adopter who can read her body language to detect when she wants attention and respects when she wants alone time.
