“Hi I’m my name is Rolo, I was found wondering by myself and was lucky enough to be found and brought into AARCS. I’m a pretty easy-going pup. I go for a long walk in the morning and a shorter one in the evening, but otherwise I am I mostly hang out quietly and eat.

Eating is my very favorite thing in the world to do. I used to be pretty frantic and rude about food but now I have learned that there will be more coming and will sit and wait for it.

I have been hanging out at my foster home for a long time, as I had a skin infection and allergies. I was REALLY itchy and was losing hair, but the skin infection has cleared up, and now I am on special food. I don’t get treats any more, which makes me sad, but I feel much better and my hair is growing back, so that is OK.

I have got the going bathroom outside thing worked out and am a good boy at night. I am very quiet, and unless I need to go to the bathroom, I let foster mom sleep in. I have a doggy brother in the house and really like him but he is cranky and mostly ignores me. When I meet adult dogs, I am very polite and respectful.

I really enjoy going for walks. I don’t usually pull on the leash, but I have a really good nose and there are lots of interesting things that I can smell. I want to investigate further, and hopefully find some yummy food, but foster mom is mean and pulls me away. I love meeting people and get excited when I see them and tend to jump up on them. I also am a little mouthy and like to nibble on hands. I am learning to be gentle and am getting better, but foster mom says there is still room for improvement.

Not to brag but I am a smart boy and have learned lots of commands. At night I like to cuddle and sleep on my foster mom’s lap while she watches TV.”

Rolo is a lovely young dog with a very nice energy level and has been a real pleasure to foster. He will make someone a lovely companion.
