About Lone Ranger
As far as my energy goes, I’ve got a bit of teenager energy right now but my foster family thinks my energy is best described as moderate. I absolutely loooooooove my walks, and I’d probably be a good running or hiking buddy if you are interested in that type of thing but it’s not necessary.
I used to be a pretty nervous girl but I’ve come a LONG way. I still get spooked from time to time, so I need a family who will read my cues and go at my pace. Sometimes, my pace is really slow, and I like to lay down and observe until I feel safe and ready. Because I can still get spooked at times, if you have kids they need to be over 10 years old.
I *love* other dogs once I get to know them, but I am nervous at first meetings. For me to be successful in making new friends, introductions to new dogs need to be slow and controlled. I would love to be adopted by a family who already has another dog, as long as they are calm and confident. It would also be great if they like to play, because once I open up, I’m VERY playful! Zoom zooooooooom! I turn it on “full throttle” so to speak, I’m super fast and strong! I LOVE wrestling and playing chase! My foster parents would love for me to have a canine companion at my forever home, or at least some dog friends I can play with regularly.
I would live my best life in a home with a yard where I can spend lots of time outside and run and play my heart out. If you don’t have lots of space for me outside, that’s alright! I still need a fenced yard, and I’ll just need you to make sure I have enough physical and mental activities to keep my brain and body happy.
If you’ve made it this far and you’re thinking “yes, this is the one!” there’s one more thing you should know about me. I went through some tests because I was leaking pee by accident, and the vets found out I have a bit of a different bladder. I’m on a medication to help me hold my pee now and it’s really no big deal anymore. I just can’t have as much water as other dogs after I exercise, because it’s hard for me to hold it.
My foster parents say I am the sweetest, most well-behaved teenager they’ve ever hosted. They love me to pieces and keep telling me my perfect match is coming. Is it you?” – xo, Lone Ranger
