About Jag

“Congratulations! You’ve found your new Best Friend!!

My name is Jag or “Jax” which is what my foster mom calls me. She says I am like a jack rabbit in dog form: I run fast, am agile, and lead/bounce when excited. Being a young active pup, I love to play and need someone who can give me plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to help me regulate my energy. When the weather is nice, my foster mom and I will go on longer walks at the nearby park or out into the mountains for the day. She also takes me to visit her friends where I can have playdates or to places (patios and shops) that allow me in and socialize.

I am quite a social butterfly, excited to greet everyone and make new friends, 2 or 4 legged alike, echoing their energy. I love attention (sometimes demanding it); just ask my foster mom how often I’ve interrupted her online meetings. Her coworkers enjoy my guest appearances and find it entertaining, well, most of the time anyways. Needless to say, I am very affectionate. I will nestle right up against you for cuddles or give you hugs (paws on your shoulders and resting my head next to you). My foster mom thinks that if I imprint on you, I’ll never leave your side … like you won’t even be able to go to the washroom alone.

Don’t worry, I am not always on GO mode! I have learned a routine, when foster mom is working from home, I chill and relax by myself (occasionally coming to seek attention from her, dah).

As amazing as I am, I do have a few ‘improvements’ I am working on and will need continued support when I go to my new family. For example, I am an aggressive chewer, still learning what I shouldn’t be sinking my teeth into (I have liking to my foster mom’s ottoman and wooden stool). When I first moved in with my foster mom, I had bad anxiety when being left alone, although still working on it, it has much improved. I love walks and may pull you along with excitement, but with redirection and positive enforcement I am learning enjoy it more peacefully.

My foster mom wants you to know, I am very smart and food motivated, with some patience and solid training, my potential is endless. I can be someone’s adventure buddy, as well as a loving companion to any family. Come meet me and surely you will fall in love!” – xo, Jag
