Alameda is a cuddle enthusiast who loves to snuggle up and purr her way into your heart. But beware! Sometimes she gets a little too excited and might give you a ‘love bite’ that’s more like a ‘hey, I need a break’ chomp. It’s her way of saying, “I love you, but I need my space.”

She’d do best in a home where her new family understands that even the most affectionate cats need their downtime… experienced cat owners who can read her signals will be perfect for her. Plus, with her luxurious fur, you’ll need to be ready for some regular grooming sessions – think of it as spa time for your home’s new ruler. She hasn’t met any kids but older kids that can read cat body language would likely be best – she wouldn’t want to scare any little ones. 

Did you know cats can have asthma, just like people?! Alameda has asthma and needs an inhaler given once daily. Don’t worry, there’s a special inhaler chamber for pets so giving the inhaler is pretty easy once Alamedas is settled in. It might be a bit harder the first few weeks while she gets used to a new environment but once she’s settled in it, can usually be given without much difficulty –  head scratches work really well.
