Sable’s favorite thing in the world is being close to her people. She absolutely adores pets and belly rubs, and if you stop too soon, she’ll gently paw at you to ask for more. She’s the kind of dog who makes every day feel a little warmer just by being nearby.

She is completely house trained, and completely trustworthy roaming the house while you are out for 4-5 hours. Although she would love to join you in any adventure, as she loves car rides.

While Sable enjoys her cozy naps in her bed, on the couch, or curled up beside you, don’t let her age fool you — she still gets excited for her walks and will bounce around happily when it’s time to go. She walks wonderfully on leash and stays focused on enjoying her strolls rather than worrying about the other animals around her.

Sable loves meeting new people and makes friends everywhere she goes, though she would prefer to be the only pet soaking up all the love and attention. Winning her over is easy: give her affection, a comfy place to relax, and maybe a ball or two to add to her collection. She doesn’t fetch them — she simply likes having them nearby.

A true sunshine lover, Sable could spend hours laying outside in the yard, happily soaking up the warm sun and peaceful moments. She’s wonderful with kids and is looking for a calm, loving family to cherish her through her golden years.
