Hi – my name is Yoshi! I’m a loving but nervous little guy hoping to find a quiet home where I can continue to learn that life as a dog can be pretty great.

I’m an introverted homebody looking for a human introverted homebody that can use their opposable thumbs to bring me my food and give me lots of belly rubs. I may have not had a chance to do a lot of things dogs get to do so far and it can feel pretty scary to me to try new things that seem pretty normal to others. I’m hoping to find a home where they will take things slow and let me build my confidence using lots of patience and love. Loud noises, fast movements and unpredictable humans can be very scary for me so I would prefer a home with older teens only/no children. I will need secure fenced/closed areas to explore because sometimes I can get very scared by something unexpected and I get so scared that I run really fast trying to hide. I’m working very hard on being less scared of new things but there are just so many things I’m not used to still.

I LOVE being on a lap for hours on end and prefer to be carried around like the ‘King of the House’ that I am. I would also love a calmer, smaller sized dog companion in my new home if possible because it helps show me what being a dog can look like and how fun it can be!
