Meet Hunter!

Hunter is a strikingly handsome Husky who has quickly become a bit of a celebrity at the shelter—everyone who meets him absolutely adores him! When he first arrived, Hunter was quite nervous and shy, but with time, patience, and the care of his dedicated caregivers, he’s been opening up in the most heartwarming way. Now, Hunter greets familiar faces with a wagging tail and a gentle, curious approach.

He’s incredibly sweet and friendly, with a growing affectionate side that shines more each day. He’s also a smart boy—he already knows “sit” and has been doing wonderfully learning skills like touch and name recognition. His love for treats definitely helps, and he takes them ever so gently. Hunter is still learning about the world, including leash walking, which he hasn’t fully explored yet. Because of this, he’ll need a forever home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely build confidence at his own pace. With continued positive reinforcement, he’s sure to make great progress.

As he becomes more comfortable, Hunter’s playful and silly personality begins to emerge. He enjoys playtime and enrichment activities, though he can sometimes get a little mouthy, so he’ll benefit from guidance as he continues learning his manners. Due to his size and initial shyness, a home with older children (10+) would be the best fit. He’s already had a lovely interaction with a 12-year-old at the shelter and did great!

Hunter is a loving, intelligent boy who is ready to find a patient, caring home where he can continue to grow, build trust, and be truly cherished!
