About Ziti
Hi! I’m Ziti! Being in a home with my foster parents has been so amazing! I was nervous at first, but was able to settle in within a couple of days, and now they say I am a wonderful, wiggly, playful girl.
Hi, I’m Ziti, I’m learning that home can be a really beautiful thing.
When I first arrived in care, I was nervous and unsure, but once I had a quiet, safe place to decompress, I settled in surprisingly quickly. Within just a couple of days, I was relaxing around the house, playing, snoozing on the couch, and showing my foster family my sweet, silly side. I can be a little sensitive at first, but I build trust with kindness and consistency, and once I feel safe, I’m affectionate, intuitive, and a lot of fun to be around.
I walk beautifully on leash and love getting out to sniff and explore the world. I’m very tuned in to other dogs and read their cues well — if another dog wants to play, I’m all in, and I’d likely love a canine companion to romp around with. I can be a little rambunctious at times (I do get the zoomies), but I’m learning how to settle in the house and respond well to gentle redirection. I’m also not destructive and have been very respectful in the home.
I’m making great progress with house training and learning where to do my business, especially when I get praise and a beef liver treat for getting it right (those are my favourite). I enjoy routine and have adapted quickly to home life — I settle for bed in the evening, sleep well, and am happy hanging out nearby while my people work, whether that means snoozing on the floor or asking politely for a few ear scratches.
I’d thrive in a home that can give me regular activity, mental enrichment, and lots of opportunities to use my nose — sniffing games, brain games and lick mats are some of my favourite ways to unwind. I’d likely do best in a calm home where someone is around often, and another friendly dog would be a bonus.
More than anything, I’m a sweet girl who seems deeply relieved to be in a safe and quiet place. With a little patience, structure, and love, I think I’ll make a wonderfully loyal, playful, and gentle companion.
Quietly blossoming and ready for my next chapter!
