About Eugenie
Eugenie is a sweet, soulful pup who is looking for a patient partner to help her navigate the world. Her quiet determination and growing confidence show just how much heart she has to give.
Eugenie is ready for the stability of a forever home. Rescued from a property with a large group of dogs, she has left her past behind for a quiet sanctuary. While she takes awhile to get used to new surroundings, the transformation she undergone after the first few weeks of living in a new home is impressive. Her foster home reports that once Eugenie feels secure, her true personality emerges: she is curious, independent, and full of life.
She doesn’t engage with toys conventionally; instead, she collects them, bringing her favorites to her bed to keep them close. She likes the comfort and control of bringing toys to her home base as a way of “redecorating” her personal space. Eugenie enjoys the company of other small dogs, provided they are respectful and laid-back, though she prefers observing them instead of active interaction. Her heart belongs to her people. She tends to form a primary attachment to a single person, seeking them out for connection, though she remains receptive to affection from others.
She is a pro at indoor living and an expert with pee pads. She is still learning to walk on a leash. Her headstrong spirit demonstrates that she is a brave and resilient little dog. She is a match for a patient adopter who wants to help a dog discover how good life can be.
Apply today to give this brave, curious girl the second chance she truly deserves!

Do I Need Special Care?
Yes, Behavioral Special Needs - Environmentally sensitive and nervous, with a strong attachment to her bed as a safety anchor. She is currently pad-trained, as she is not yet comfortable with leash walking. Best suited for a low-activity household where she can remain indoors and decompress until she builds sufficient confidence to explore beyond her safe zone.
