About Patsy

Extremely shy

Stay in the shadows until it’s your time to shine.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by to read my profile. As you noticed, my name is Patsy, but I bet you didn’t know that I was named for Patsy Cline, the amazing country singer. Unlike the other Patsy, I’m a very shy, skittish girl. I definitely don’t want to be in front of an audience, even if it’s an audience of one. I’m also very quiet, so don’t expect any songs yet.

For now, I much prefer to hide away in the shadows (I have a few great spots in my foster home), especially during the day. Sometimes I venture out, but I feel very scared if someone sees me or moves unexpectedly, and I usually rush back to a hiding place.

I haven’t been in my foster home very long, but I have started to come out for a peek around in the late afternoon and evenings. I’ve even had a nap in the cat bed out in the open! My foster mom thinks I’m very brave, but I don’t feel brave at all. Thank goodness it’s quiet here, and no one chases me! I really appreciate the patience even though I’m pretty sure that my thick, beautiful coat is almost irresistible.

Food is a big reason that I come out of hiding. It’s just so delicious! I eat every morsel and love to get treats delivered to my hidey holes. My very own Skip the Dishes. I’m a fastidious feline, so I always use my litter box. No accidents for me!

At night, I spend time alone exploring my new environment, but I’m pretty sure my foster mom has no idea that I do. The nose marks on the window are almost invisible, and I think the toys I’ve taken out haven’t been noticed. Nope, I’ve been quite crafty.

I’m hoping to find a quiet home where I can slowly gain confidence and learn to trust. Patience will be the key to helping me come out of my shell and the shadows. Does that describe you? Then you should fill out an application form to adopt me today.

Love, Patsy (the cat, not the singer!)

The sooner I find my forever home, the sooner I can begin to shine!
