“I am not a rooster. I do not cock-a-doodle-do or wake up with the sunrise. In fact, I sleep quite soundly on my nice soft doggie bed next to my hoomans and stay sleeping until they wake up for the day.

I like to be with my hoomans. When they leave and come back I get so excited that I somethings forget not to use my teefs to greet with. I’m learning but I’m just so excited that they came back, because you see, I’ve spent a lot of my life without a real home. I do not like to be left alone in a kennel. I’m not sure if it’s just that I don’t want to be left alone or if the kennel reminds me of my years in “captivity”. The hoomans at the shelters I’m been at were good to me, but it is so wonderful to have my very own hoomans to love me and feed me.

Yes, I love food, so much so, that my whole body does a wiggle dance when my bowl is being filled. I am learning to sit still to wait for the OK to eat, but it is so very hard. I will learn anything you want me to learn for a treat or two. I am smart. I know where my foster hoomans keep the treats and if the door is left open I will get my head in there right away to snatch a few!

I loves frens. Hooman frens should be older so that they can help me learn to boop with my nose and not use my teefs when I get excited. Doggo frens could be big or small. I am mindful of my older foster sister doggo and can take a cue if I’m a bit too much for her. Not sure about having a kitty cat or hoppy bunny fren.

I loves my yard! When the zoomies takes me over, I toss my toys in the air and jump like a kangaroo which is why I think I should be called Roo instead of Rooster.

I loves my walkies and am learning to walk nicely without pulling, but I do sometimes get excited. I am practicing by walking with a pack of my doggo frens from the neighbourhood. I know to do my business outside during our walkies.
