One of Rory’s greatest joys in life is playing with toys—all kinds of toys. Whether he’s proudly trotting around with a rope toy, chasing after a bumpy ball, or selecting the softest plush from the pile, he throws himself into playtime with total enthusiasm. He’s even been known to chase his own tail when he’s especially excited. During enrichment sessions, he happily burns off energy by zooming around the yard, exploring new scents, or carrying his toy treasures back and forth. And once he’s done, he’ll calmly head back inside without difficulty, showing how nicely he transitions between activities.

Rory is a smart boy, too. He has already started practicing “yes” and “sit,” and he can offer a good sit without a lure. He’s treat-motivated indoors, enjoys puzzle feeders and frozen Kongs, and would thrive with continued training and enrichment that keeps both his mind and body busy.

Because he’s a big guy with a lot of enthusiasm, he can sometimes get jumpy or mouthy when overly excited. He truly means no harm—he’s just still learning that these aren’t the best manners. A patient, active home willing to help him continue practicing polite “four paws on the floor” behaviour will help him shine even brighter.

Rory is, at his core, a sweet, playful, affectionate dog who just wants to engage with the world and the people he loves.
