About Timmy

“Hi! I am Timmy, a goofy and playful pup looking for my furever family!

I go by Timmy, TimTim, Timbit, and Timothy in my foster home. I have such a friendly and playful nature that inspires nicknames. I absolutely LOVE playing with other pups. I like to chase, wrestle, and tug. I have met many other active pups and make friends really easily. The resident pup at my foster home prefers to sunbathe, so I’ve learned to just lay with him instead of bugging him to play all the time. I get so excited to see him in the mornings I have to give him kisses all over his face! I would do great in a home with another playful dog, or a dog that tolerates my puppy personality. If we don’t have playmates over, my foster mom takes me for a 45-60 minute walk. I love to sniff and explore on my walks. If we are alone, I walk very nicely on the leash and am learning that walking right beside my handler means I get lots of treats! If there are other dogs around I get excited and pull towards them, but can usually bring my attention back to my handler with some treats. I have even gone on 10km trail walks and loved it! I will be a great adventure buddy.

I have had a few accidents in my foster home. I like to spend a lot of time outside and do most of my business out there. As long as I am let oustide regularly, I have no problems with house training. Please keep this up with me! I sleep in my crate throughout the night, and during the day if you have to work or leave the house. When i first go in my crate, I cry for 2 minutes or less to let you know how sad I am that playtime is over. After I settle down I am quiet all night. I get up in the mornings when I hear my humans get up, and am okay to sleep in if thats what you like.

I love toys! I like to play surgery on soft toys and take out all their stuffing. I love to play tug of war with sticks or toys. I play tug really well with other dogs too. I play fetch with my foster mom in the yard. I’m pretty much down for any game you want to teach me! I play independently with my toys as well, and can be such a goof. I toss them around and roll all over and pounce on them. I am so funny to watch.

I also love to cuddle on the couch. I would love to be your oversized lap dog and be laying as close to you as I can get! Please let me rest my head or part of my body on you, as it makes me so happy and feel loved. Couch time is new and exciting for me, so sometimes I forget that I am only supposed to use my mouth on toys…oopsy! If you tell me “no” and hand me a toy I am pretty good at correcting my mistakes. I don’t use my mouth too hard on my foster mom but if little kids were around I would appreciate an adult close by to help me remember to be on my best behavior. I am learning quickly and love to make you proud! Same goes for jumping up. Mostly I keep my paws on the floor but occasionally I get so excited that I forget. I am still young and learning, but I am so smart and want to please my humans!

I haven’t spent much time around kids or cats yet, so please help me have slow and positive meetings! I can’t wait to find my furever home and spend my days making my family smile and laugh! I know I am going to be an excellent addition to someone’s home.

If you are looking for a fun-loving adventure buddy, apply to adopt me today!”
