“Hi! I’m Blue! I’m a pretty big guy as you can see, and darn handsome too!!

I am also quite the lover, and as soon as I develop that bond, all I want to do is shower you with affection! I know I’m 65lbs, but boy oh boy I wish I was a lap dog! That being said, I am getting better and better at listening and respecting boundaries, I know I can’t be all over you ALL the time, but I just need to make sure you know how much I love you! Sometimes life is ruff!

I am very loyal and protective of the ones I love, that you can count on! So maybe sometimes I get a little wary when I meet new people, but I am very treat motivated, and a couple of those in your hand, and we are sure to become best friends!

My 8 year old foster brother is one of my best friends! We play outside together, we play lots of fetch ( I just LOVE squeeky tennis balls!) and we do lots of cuddling. I just wish he was big enough to take me out on walks, we would have so much fun!

But I can get pretty reactive when I see other dogs, so my foster mom says only strong adults are allowed to do that. Because of my reactivity, I need to be the only dog in the home and off leash parks are not for me. What can I say……I want to be the one and only doggo around to get all the love!

I’m a pretty smart dog too. I know the cue “Sit” really well, and most recently learned “Shake a paw” and “Lay down”. Took me no time at all! And when I come back in the house from being outside, I’m a good boy and I sit on the mat until I’m told it’s ok to leave. I’m really good at Stay!

I don’t mind going into my crate when needed, and at bedtime I sleep on my dog bed all night, quiet as a mouse. As long as you are near by, I am one happy pup!
