About Shiloh

Shiloh is a beautiful name. Shiloh really likes her name because no matter if she is in the yard or across the room, when she hears her name she comes running!

Shiloh is a physical combination of a Shepherd with her longer legs, longer body, shiny black fur and the large erect ears and tricolour feet! Her personality is ever alert, intelligent and high energy.

Shiloh is a quiet dog until she lets you know what she wants, or you might say demands. She has a loud sharp bark when she needs to go outside or if she wants to be with her people; she loves to be with her humans. There “ain’t no mountain high enough”, or in her case baby gate, to keep her away from you. At 8 weeks of age she climbed over the gate and up the steep stairs without any effort in order to be with the family. She will spend a couple of hours in her crate provided she is well fed, and has played hard fetching. If she is not ready because of pent up energy she will protest loudly for about 10 minutes.

This confident pup will bring her empty stainless steel food bowl across the room when it happens to be empty. She knows several commands; sit, stay, off, drop it. During the day she only “cat naps” with one eye open watching but at night she sleeps on her dog bed in the same room as her foster parents, for a solid 7 or 8 hours.

Shiloh would love a yard; she’s is a blur of fur when she is running top speed after a ball. She would do well with another dog to play with and/or children over the age of 10 years because she can be mouthy when she is in full energy mode. She would excel at training because of her ability to listen and focus. A family that can provide Shiloh with the mental and physical activity she requires are going to enjoy sharing life with this very bright and fun pup.

Shiloh loves visitors and would be happy to meet you.
