Moderately shy

Hi! My name is Amalias and as you can see from my photos, I’m a very cute little girl. I’m a gorgeous, young but shy girl.

I’m pretty young so I love to run and play, especially with wand toys. That mouse on the wand is pretty fast and tricky but I’m also fast and tricky, so I catch it almost every time. Toys with feathers might be my very favourites though and I just can’t resist going after them. I can also entertain myself quite often with balls (particularly my treat ball!) and other toys from my toybox.

I’m a pretty hearty eater and come running when it’s chow time. Now, I may be pretty young but I’m very careful about using my litter box. No accidents for me!

I’m quite new to my foster home which is pretty quiet most of the time and I’m very curious about everything that goes on. However, unexpected noises or sudden movements around me usually send me running for cover. When I’ve figured out that I’m in no danger, I come back out. I like to be around people, but I mostly keep my distance. In the evening however, I can be coaxed to get into my foster mom’s lap to have a treat or play with some feathers. I just love getting those scratches and lots of pets. I purr like crazy! Then I snuggle down and nap for a while before I meow for more scratches and pets. My foster mom says that I’m a paradox, but I thought I was Amalias. Humans can be confusing!

I’m working on building my confidence so that I’m not such a scaredy cat, and I’m slowly improving.
