Barley is a sweet and energetic girl with a heart full of love and a passion for adventure. She loves playing with her doggy friends and wouldn’t mind having another playful pup in her future home, but it’s not a must.

Barley is a big fan of car rides and hiking in the mountains, where she can explore new sights and smells. She has a high prey drive and probably wouldn’t do well with cats, but she’s always up for new experiences and would thrive with a family that enjoys outdoor activities as much as she does!

On walks, Barley is generally great on the leash, though she does tend to pull when she spots squirrels or rabbits. Her foster family is working on teaching her to stay calm, but her excitement for critters is part of her playful charm.

Barley is fully potty trained and knows basic commands like “sit” and “lay down.” Her foster family is continuing to work on teaching her some additional manners, but she’s already well on her way to being a wonderful companion. At the end of a fun-filled day, Barley loves nothing more than curling up on the couch, stretching out, and enjoying belly scratches from her favorite people.
