Moderately shy

Hello, I am so glad that you stopped by. My name is Calcite! I absolutely love it here at my foster home. Everyone is so friendly so I had no difficulty fitting right in. I get along well with all the resident cats and the small dog. In fact, I think the resident Ragdoll is a little smitten over me. 

I won’t harp on my past but I had a very bad kitty cold when I first came here. I was a new mom and we were all unwell. I was scared and even though my foster mom seemed nice and was trying to be my friend, she kept giving me lots of meds which I wasn’t overly fond about. Fast forward to present time and I am healthy! I have put on some weight which everyone says was needed. 

I am still a little unsure about humans but I am slowly learning to trust them. I now love to be petted by them. I enjoy those chin scratches and I will roll over and let you rub my belly. If my foster mom stops before I want her to, I will give her a nudge with my head or follow her and rub up against her. 

Although you can pick me up and hold me, I am not yet ready for that as I feel nervous and confined. This goes for cuddling as well. This girl prefers to have all her paws on the floor at least for now.

My favourite thing is Temptations treats. I love those delectable little morsels! I also like to explore high places and play with ball toys or what ever else I can find.
