Moderately shy

Hello, my name is Hakone and it is so nice to meet you! I am a beautiful chatty boy who loves to play with feathery stick toys and take long naps. My interests include wrestling with my favorite towel, knocking pens off tables, and having zoomie sessions after I use the litter box. 

Although I can be quite shy when we first meet, as soon as I feel comfortable, my playful and curious nature will shine through. I have a favorite spot in the home that I like to hang out at, and when my foster parent walks by, I perk up and start chatting immediately. I love to know what you’re up to and how your day is going!

In addition to play time, I also love being petted. After a long day of naps, I will seek out your attention and rub against your legs to let you know how much I’ve missed you!

Although I am a teenager in cat years, I have excellent table manners and toilet etiquette. I crunch my food thoroughly and make sure to clean my plate well. My business is also always done in the litter box and I have a clean record of zero accidents outside of it.

I am looking for a loving family that is respectful and patient with my shy personality and willing to take things slowly. I look forward to a cozy home that has plenty of hiding spots for me to explore and relax in. I am unsure how I feel about four legged family members or young humans, but I am confident we will get along as long as they are calm and respectful of my boundaries.
