Slightly timid

Why hello!! Are you here to be my new best friend?  My name is Ollivander. I’m a sweet and playful feline. Although my profile describes me as a tad shy, it’s not humans I’m scared of! I adore humans, their gentle strokes, and their soothing voices. New environments and noises are a bit scary for me but my safe place is tucked in beside my human friends. They say I’m a bit timid around the young, rambunctious resident cats, but I tolerate them, showing them the patience I’ve learned in my adult years. I enjoy quiet moments, a soft bed, and my playtime with my humans. My absolute favourite has got to be that wand toy, we can play for hours with it and I’m still not tired of it!

I’m a friendly chap who adores company, but I also appreciate those who understand my body language and respect my needs. For that reason I find babies and young children a bit too loud and fast moving for me! I haven’t met any dogs at AARCS but I did know a dog before I came here. I even learned a couple cute tricks from my friend, like licking your hand, “barking” (apparently it sounds more like feline chirps to the untrained ear), and the irresistible eyes.

They say that a way to someone’s heart is through their stomach – that fits me to a T. Dinner time is the fast pass to earning my trust! I do eat a specific kind of food, but there are a few brands to choose from. It makes my part of the grocery list easy – no meal planning required!!
