“Hello, my name is Barrett and I’m gentle and affectionate with lots of energy!

I love going for walks with my foster family. I am very attentive to my surroundings, sniffing along the way and stopping to watch other dogs or people go by. I’m a player and currently play with my foster sister (another shep X rescue dog) who is a bit bigger than me. I also have had lots of fun playing with smaller dog friends. I seldom bark, but when I do it’s a deep real dog bark of confidence.

I go in my kennel at night with a little coaxing with a treat or two and once the lights go out you won’t hear a peep from me until the morning. However, I would be happy to sleep on the bed with you if that’s what you would like.

I’m all wags and kisses when the morning comes and know to go outside to do my business! I like to be in the same room as my human and could aptly have been called “shadow”.

My foster mom says I’m a keeper and wishes she could keep me “furever”. She will miss my love and affection but knows that there another family out there that needs me more!” – xo, Barrett
