Slightly timid

My name is Sapphire and if you’re looking for a lap cat, I’m your girl! The first thing you’ll notice about me is my size. Yes, I’m a bit of a chonker but I’m working on it by getting exercise and cutting back on snacks.  I can be a little demanding in the kitchen. I mean, I’m going to try to get more food but if you ignore me I get the message and move on. 

I love to be around my people. If you’re sitting, or laying down, I love nothing more than to put all 12 pounds of me on top of you and then purr!  I’m SUPER AFFECTIONATE! But I’m so much more than a lap cat! I love to play with toys, especially feather wands. Even a shoelace will get me moving! 

I’ll be a little nervous when I first come to your home. At my foster home in the early days, my safe area was under a bed and I would only come our when the humans called me. But after a few days, I got comfortable and now I like to be where the people are all the time.
