One thing to know about Jules is that she’s touch and restraint sensitive. She acts much like a 55lb cat, when attention is on her terms, she’s flirty, loves to play and be pet. She is working on Cooperative Care Training with the help of Dogwit Training Inc in Calgary. She has progressed well with enthusiasm and enjoys getting salmon oil out of syringes, teeth brushing, laying down on her mat. Slowly working on skills such as chin-rests and other consent-based behaviors. Giving her much needed choice in training.

As a husky, Jules has a strong love for the outdoors, and she’d thrive in an active home with a fenced yard. With space to roam and explore, she’ll revel in the freedom to be herself. She has been introduced to the sport of dog sledding and absolutely loves the freedom to run and pull. Her instincts kick in and fun takes over. She has also taken a liking to food puzzle toys, getting pieces of food out of licki mats and the like.

Lately we’ve seen her more playful and goofy side shine through her fear and anxiety. She will often sass her foster siblings for play with her woooooo woooo’s, initiating in wiggly play bows and a nice game of wrestle and chase. Her palate for flavours in food has really broadened, from freeze dried beef liver and kibble to a variety of snacks including small pieces of meats, cheeses and salad. She’s still getting the hang of vegetables and would rather pounce and play with them, rather than eat them.
