Annie is an adorable girl with lots of love to give! In addition to being extremely good looking (who can resist those little forehead wrinkles?!), she’s also affectionate and sweet. She loves to bury her head in your lap and roll over for a belly rub. If the petting stops, she’s quick to remind you to keep going 🥰

Annie had a rough start to life, fending for herself. Even though city living is new to her, she has impeccable house manners: she’s fully house-trained, can be trusted to free roam while her humans are out, and she is all about 4 on the floor! No jumping up for this girl, though she’ll always greet you with a wagging tail when you return. She walks great on leash; no pulling (unless a squirrel catches her eye!) and is happy to stop and smell the roses along the way.

Annie enjoys the company of other dogs large and small, and would welcome a canine sibling in her new home. Though it’s not necessary, she seems to gain confidence and learn the ropes from other dogs in her environment. She hasn’t met any cats yet, but given her love of chasing bunnies and squirrels they may not be the best fit for her.

While in care over the last couple of months, Annie has worked hard on her confidence. She can be shy meeting new people and in new environments, though with patience, positive reinforcement, routine and a whole lot of love, she quickly comes out of her shell. A fenced yard will be a must for this sweet girl as it’s where she feels most comfortable doing her business at this time.

Annie is affectionate and thrives on human companionship. She’ll shower you with love, kisses, and cuddles, making sure you always feel like the most important person in the world. And she is so deserving of love in return, having overcome her tough start with so much bravery.
