Meet Bertie! She came to AARCs after she was unclaimed at the City of Calgary. She is an incredibly sweet girl with an equally sweet demeanor. Bertie is a joy to have around, she brings laughter into every environment she’s in with her big ears and classic bullytude.

Bertie’s striking brindle coat is as soft as it looks, which is paired perfectly with her pink and black marbled pawpads. Bertie loves to run, jump and play. Though she is short in stature, Bertie is no small dog! She is strong and resilient, so it’s best to keep a tight grip on her. Bertie walks well on a harness and leash and she is currently working on her loose-leash manners. Not only is she strong, but Bertie is a tenacious chewer, she has already taken down multiple toys. She is high energy and needs a large space to run in, accompanied by lots of things to sniff and play with! Bertie would do equally great as a single dog or as a friend for the resident pet.
