About Misto

Meet Misto! Misto has been with us for some time now and has brought a lot of joy and laughter into our home. As her beloved attendants, we have come to deeply cherish her personality and cuddles. She always brings a smile to our face. Misto loves chasing sunbeams through the day and warm soft snuggly beds.  She is often found snuggled up with my plant seedlings (they don’t need the warm seed mat!), in a blanket pile on the couch or on the more soft and squishy clean laundry!

She has become quite accustomed to us sneaking in a head kiss and a light tickling head massage when we pass by. She likes to be in the center of the household and does not tend hide away to nap.

When we make our way to the kitchen or basement, Misto is sure to race us there. She perches somewhere high and reminds us that she has not yet had her daily treat, oh, and you forgot breakfast, secondsies and don’t forget about thirdsies! We are convinced she is a hobbit in disguise.  She has an adorable chirpy mew which she uses to share her opinions about how things should be done. For example, breakfast needs to be served promptly upon opening the can… you must be prepared with spoon and dish on hand.

She is good with being held and cuddled for short intervals – then she needs to be let down and have a break. She prefers to be all 4 on the floor receiving a gentle stroke – like a lymphatic massage. This starts up her purr engine and she will keep it up until you stop or the food runs out.  If she is mad at you (like you offered fish treat over the beef), she turns around and shows you her back end. She had some dental work when she arrived and required pain meds – she was not pleased and it took a long while until she trusted me with anything other than her back end. I had to woo her with ample Churus paste and Beef Temptations.

When Misto arrived, we had our large husky cross dog. While initially timid of her, Misto realized she wasn’t very interesting. We have had other cat savvy doggy house guests and Misto walks freely around them. We have three male cats in the house. She is fine with them as long as they ignore her. Our youngest cat (1.5yrs) likes to push her buttons so she does give him a good smack time to time.  We use a diffuser with cat pheromones and find it helps a great deal to set a positive mood in our home.

Misto is looking for a home that gives her the love and attention she seeks but yet respects her boundaries. She is the sunbeam chaser and snuggly bed connoisseur with the best chin!!! Apply today!
